Marketing terms, in plain words.
Plain definitions of the terms Kleos uses: AI visibility, AI search optimization, content calendars and brand voice.
AI visibility
AI visibility is how often AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention, recommend or cite your business when people ask questions about your market. It's measured by asking the same questions on a schedule and recording which brands each answer names and which sources it relies on.
Content calendar
A content calendar is a schedule of what a business will publish, where and when: posts, articles, newsletters and the topics behind them. It turns marketing from bursts of activity into a steady rhythm, and shows at a glance what's drafted, approved and published, and what's still missing.
AI search optimization
AI search optimization is making your business easier for AI assistants and answer engines to find, understand and cite. It's also called generative engine optimization (GEO) or answer engine optimization (AEO). It starts from the questions customers ask and publishes clear, specific answers on pages an assistant can quote.
Brand voice
Brand voice is how a business sounds in writing: its word choices, tone, level of formality and the things it never says. A consistent voice makes posts, articles and emails recognizable as yours, and keeps AI-written drafts from sounding like everyone else's or claiming things you can't back up.
